Our children and staff thoroughly enjoy celebrating vocabulary and learning lots of new words. It is fantastic to see the children teaching each other the definitions of words they find interesting or words that are new to them!

Our drive is for our children to apply higher order vocabulary to their reading and writing.  To support this, all our booster sessions in school focus on either retrieval of key words from that week of learning, or pre-learning of key vocabulary in order to maximise access to the curriculum content in upcoming learning.

We teach our children that the more they use the words they learn, the more they will remember them!
